East End Seaport Museum & Marine Foundation

The East End Seaport Museum exhibits a variety of local nautical artifacts including fresnel lighthouse lenses and displays of Greenport's fishing and oyster industries. The Maritime Museum is located in the historic railroad station adjacent to the Shelter Island North Ferry Terminal. The mission of the East End Seaport Museum and Marine Foundation is "to recognize, restore and preserve the maritime heritage of the East End of Long Island, New York." East End Seaport Museum and East End Lighthouses have joined together under one roof and a single mission to preserve and protect our local maritime heritage. We have an enthusiastic, dedicated group of volunteers working to assure a rewarding visit for all. This Summer the lighthouse cruises will include a stop at Long Beach Bar (Bug) Light allowing passengers to disembark and visit a real, working lighthouse . Come visit us. The Welcome lamp is lit!
