For those who have donated we thank you for your support! As mentioned, we are working on an amazing Michigan Civil War story/exhibit. To do this we need help... Mannequins are about $300 each and we need two, then there is signage and support materials etc. Our goal is to have it complete by early Spring. In addition to this, we are also working on story board panels about Michigan service members of note. These also cost about $200-300 each. So, we are turning to you, our supporters, artifact donors, and page followers. A Dollar a piece from each person who likes this page would complete many of the projects. We know that won't happen, but perhaps you can spare $5.00 or perhaps you or your business needs a year end tax deduction? It all helps, and it is all so very much appreciated. We are 1/4 of the way to the Civil War exhibit, can you get us there? We thank you all and hope you have a Merry Christmas/ Happy Hanukkah/Happy Holiday Season!

Please support the Michigan Military Heritage Museum by donating as little as $5 a month to help us tell the story of Michigan's service members in peace and war.

Our mission is to tell the stories of our State's service members through interpretive displays of artifacts, pictures, and written and oral histories. Michigan currently has two aviation museums, and a museum dedicated to Medal of Honor Recipients and Astronauts, but nothing for the average service...

Back in the 70’s went on a field trip with my son’s classroom. We found a cemetery with a tombstone with train engine carved on it. Don’t remember location, somewhere in Waterloo Recreation area. Does anyone have any information on this?
This photo was taken at the corner of Willis Road and Michigan Avenue. It used to be the Helm Goat Farm that produced and sold goat milk and goat milk products. They had around 300 head of goats.
The right half of the class from Grass Lake High school photo from Washington DC 1953. I know Don Wollpert is in this picture. I don't know who anyone else is.
Half of a pic of the class that included Don Wollpert on a trip to Washington D.C. The bottom of the photo says 1953
I am currently looking for information about the land behind the baseball fields at township hall. We are in the process of putting in a disc golf course and would like to tie the name to the history of the land. We have heard something about a possible brick factory being on this land but are unsure of how to verify. Thank you in advance!
