Happy National Escargot Day!
This dish of cooked snails is an acquired taste but can be incredibly elegant! Although it is mainly known as a French delicacy, they are served around Europe and West Asia.

This Escargot server was painted by our founder Lucretia Donnell and was donated to the museum by Carilane Newman Vieregg in 2024. The piece was gifted to the donor from the artist in 1972. We hope to see you in the museum soon!

Today is National Endangered Species Day
To help bring awareness, we wanted to share a lovely piece named "Tiger Mom and Cub" by Janet Nelson. Donated by the artist in 2024, this piece is in our Hall of Americas! Tigers are listed as Endangered (EN) on the IUCN Red List. The hard work on conservationists and IUCN as a whole help to create a more biodiverse world!

If you would like to help the IUCN go to www.iucnredlist.org and read up/ donate!
