💦 We had an incredible time alongside the UF Thompson Earth Systems Institute at the 3rd Annual Santa Fe Spring Celebration at Poe Springs! 🎉

📝 Visitors got a rare opportunity to explore freshwater fishes 🐟 up close with actual museum specimens from our Ichthyology Collections, bringing the springs’ incredible biodiversity to life.

A huge thank you to our expert Ichthyology Collections Manager, Rob Robins, for sharing his passion and answering all the fishy questions from everyone who stopped by! 👏🐠

🪲✨ STEAM Night at C.W. Norton Elementary was a buzz! ✨🪲
We had a great time sharing insect science at STEAM Night! Students became scientists as they “collected” paper insects using tubes, identified their specimens with a poster, recorded their findings, and used microscopes for a closer look. Some even drew what they observed! 🔍✍️

We were excited to feature scientist Ana Lopez and inspire curiosity about insects and science careers. Thanks to the students, families, and staff for a fun night of hands-on learning!
