This is why we support and honor our local art students. Congrats to NDSU Sophomore Emma Beatrez. You are officially on your way.

Maren and I would like to thank everyone who filled up the gallery last night for our UpTown Acoustic night. Special thanks to my friend Steve "Yata" Peinovich and his cohorts Sue and Randy for supplying us with great music. Wow! The Yata trio will be back again. What a treat. Thanks as well to our gifted sound engineer Janson Michael Steffan for making it sound perfect. Look for performances soon by Steve Revland, Plan B, the Blue Wailers, and Hannah Westerholm. We will post them on our event calendar.

The countdown begins.

Artist Statement
My love of painting comes from the joy of moving paint around the canvas, exploring the endless variations of colors, shapes and lines as they interact. The compositions which emerge often seem to come from deep emotions or thoughts. These days I am often preoccupied about the journey of life and where I am to go and what I am to do. Often the paintings seem to reflect this in the lines and shapes floating around the canvas suggesting a passage or opening with colors floating or moving beyond the surface of the painting.
