Established in 1992 in Jasper Alberta by artist/filmmaker Wendy Wacko, Mountain Galleries is one of the largest commercial galleries in Western Canada with locations in the Banff, Jasper & Whistler Fairmont Hotels. The collection represents major and mid-career artists. The mission of the gallery is to support and promote Canadian Artists. With an assembled a staff of well educated young professio

nals who understand and respect the mission of the gallery. Understanding our clients needs and providing the best possible customer service is our top priority. The gallery has created an "Artist in Residence program" in all three locations which provides studio space and accommodation for the artists we represent.

From sculpture to canvas 👀 We’re excited to welcome John Clinton to Mountain Galleries at the Fairmont Empress in Victoria for a special Artist in Residence, September 7–8.

Known for his abstract sculptures exploring form, balance, space, and material, John has recently taken his creative practice in a new direction: painting.

This residency will offer a closer look at that evolution as John works in the gallery and shares this new side of his practice. Swipe through for a look at both his sculptural work and paintingsand then come see the process unfold in person.
