Pattern & Place is on view at the Center Museum through August 29th!

This exhibition highlights the patterns that are found in architecture and design throughout the Middle East. Artists Dina Abdulkarim, Doris Bittar, and Joyce Dallal explore the regional traditions of pattern through a contemporary lens. The resulting artworks encourage the viewer to question what they think they know about the Middle East, as well as reflect on the traditions of home.

Pattern & Place was adapted from mash, an exhibition curated by LA-based artist and curator Mark Steven Greenfield and shown at SoLA Contemporary in Los Angeles.

For the Drive In movies, if we get there early will we be able to walk over to the mall to pick up food from the restaurants and food places once we’ve parked? Thank you.
I love how you guys share different mediums with the community through your exhibits! Due to social distancing, I won't be able to visit the center anytime soon but I’ve taken this time to learn more about the arts, especially film! My favorite medium is film which is why I wanted to share some information on the streaming service film festival flix. This platform has multiple channels and collections of films previously presented in festivals that are now otherwise hard to find. One of my favorites on the platform is "Boy" as it is one of Taika Waititi's earlier works as a director and writer. As someone who is looking for ways to pass the time and learn more about film, I recommend checking this service out!
ART SPARK: SILHOUETTED WILDLIFE WATERCOLORS Saturday, February 15, 2020 10am-12pm $40 ticket includes materials, pastries, drinks, one FREE Museum pass, and one raffle ticket to win a pair of tickets to a Center presented concert! This month’s Art Spark will build upon last month’s techniques of practicing “wet-on-wet”, “wet-on-dry,” and “layering”, while introducing a new technique called “pouring”. Through applying these techniques participants will create two original watercolors, one painting of a morning sunrise and one painting of a sunset with silhouettes. To purchase tickets, follow the link below!
Thank you to everyone that made my mom's 97th birthday so special! She truly loves being a volunteer!
Never been to a performing arts center before but you could be the first if you could book a symphony that would play all, or most, the music from Star Wars. BTW, I'm 64 but young at heart.
