S & S Sugar Bush of Ellsworth, WI S & S Sugar Bush is located just outside of Ellsworth between River Falls, WI and Red Wing, MN. Merchant Snow started tapping maple trees in 1900.

Pure maple syrup is harvested here every spring usually beginning in March and concluding around mid April. S & S Sugar Bush is a century old hobby farm located in western Wisconsin owned by the Stockwell's. It was then passed on to his son, Floyd Snow. In 1974, Floyd's daughter, Shirley (Snow) Stockwell and her husband, Lyle Stockwell inherited the family operation, thus the "S & S" name is derived from Snow and Stockwell.
