Tonight's the night for our Nature Speaks To Me opening reception! Come join us and see the nature-inspired artworks by local artists, including our featured artist, Sanghyun Lee!

The reception runs from 5–8 p.m. Admission is always free and all are welcome. We have light refreshments available, as well as live music provided by pianist Jude Heath.

The Arts Council is located at 135 E. Main St. in Elkton.

#🌿 EXPERIENCE “NATURE SPEAKS TO ME” EXHIBIT IN ELKTON

Take an evening to slow down and experience the beauty of nature through art at the Cecil County Arts Council.

The “Nature Speaks To Me” exhibit opens with a reception on Friday, September 4, from 5–8 p.m., featuring light refreshments and live music.

🎨 The exhibit showcases works in all media by CCAC members and non-members, with Sanghyun Lee featured as the artist for this show. Inspired by the positive energy flowing through water, flowers and trees, the exhibit invites visitors to find a feeling of peace and a gentle sense of good fortune.

For anyone who responded to our post looking for vendors at a community event in Port Deposit -- this is the vendor application form for that event!

We are looking for artists and local businesses interested in being vendors at a community day on Rehert Farm in Port Deposit on October 24, 2026, from 11:30-3:30. If you're interested, please let us know in the comments. Is there anyone who would be interested in teaching an art class or leading a plein-air session? There will be a food truck, and the amazing band Sunset Riders will perform. No table fee! Stroll the trail, look for fish in the pond, admire the barn, bring chairs and blankets, and plan to enjoy your day!

Town of North East, Maryland - Government is seeking applications for a mural to cover the back and sides of the bathroom building at North East Community Park, 300 Cherry St., North East, Md.

The mural's subject matter is to be family, maritime themes, and nature, such as wildflowers or black eyed susans.
