Not only is today the Army's birthday (happy 251st!), but today is also Flag Day! Today we mark the adoption of the American flag by the Continental Congress in the First Flag Act on June 14, 1777.

The Act declared that the new flag would have "13 stripes alternate red and white: that the union be thirteen stars, white in a blue field, representing a new constellation." Since then, the flag has stood as a symbol of unity, hope, and freedom.

They're not your average distressed denim. Japanese Zoo Jeans had a very unique designer—lions, tigers, and bears.

The project gave the animals sheets of denim wrapped around toys to tear apart, an activity called "environmental enrichment" that stimulates natural behavior. The shredded fabric was then sewn into jeans, each pair with a unique story. Three pairs auctioned in 2014 sold for a combined $3,500.

It was a clever way to raise funds for the Kamine Zoo and the World Wildlife Fund while creating a buzz and a truly unique product. A wild idea for a good cause. 🐾👖
