A little opening update from The Autistic Cat 🐈‍⬛

The artwork has moved in. My nervous system is still unpacking.

I’m experiencing AuDHD burnout, which means opening the new studio may take longer than I’d hoped. I’m excited about this space, and right now my capacity needs some attention, too.

Part of creating a neuroaffirming space is giving the autistic person running it room to recover. Apparently, that includes me. 😉

I’ll share opening news when I have it. Thank you for cheering me on and making room for a slower start. There’s still plenty of art, cats, and glorious weirdness ahead. 💜

Apparently I unpacked my cats before checking my Colorado voting facts. 😹.

I thought moving from Denver to Superior meant I couldn’t vote here yet. I thought I missed the cutoff (where did that idea come from?🫣). I was wrong, and I’m happy to publicly admit it. Rowan will probably bring this up at my next performance review. 😳

In case someone else needs this information:

🐾 Eligible Colorado voters can register through Election Day.

🐾 Moved? Update your address at GoVoteColorado.gov.

🐾 For this election, register or update online by October 26 to receive a mailed ballot. After that, visit a Vote Center in your county through Election Day.

I haven’t missed an election, and I don’t plan to start now.

A big thank you to Debra Bowes, Debra Bowes for Superior, running for Superior Town Council. As a new resident of Main Street, Superior, she introduced herself and welcomed me 🥹. I looked into her platform and am genuinely impressed. I support her.

Post featuring Rowan, my ginger top model, and a special appearance from Harlee, who has delegated all civic responsibilities to the human (me, Jen).

Every vote matters; please vote.

A delightful fairy tale. When I walk into Arts Off Center I immediately feel the warm energy and are dazzled by the colors, artists, and beautiful presentation! I always leave happier than when I arrived. In my opinion it is the heart of Main Street! So thankful for this oasis of art and flamingos 🦩! We have so many amazing small businesses on Main Street in Superior, CO. Enchanted to call Main Street home! 😻

I need to learn to crochet so I can participate next year. These pops of color around CBArt Studios create a visual stimuli I love! Stop by and check them out before the weather changes! 😻
