“this is not a respectable composition”
by rené meowgritte 🎩🐈

“The artist deploys surrealist restraint with devastating precision. A floating bowler hat, a headless suit, and a perfectly ordinary glass of water all defer attention toward the true metaphysical rupture: the cat itself. Reclining across the wooden table with impossible serenity, the feline transforms the rearward gaze into philosophical inquiry. The faceted rose circle beneath the tail functions as both jewel and accusation. The inscription insists this is not a cat. The painting disagrees.”

“astral trespassing over saint-remy”
by vincent van goghairball 🌌🐈

“The cat ascends the village roofline with the solemn authority of a creature that has never once contributed to rent. Beneath a convulsing celestial canopy, the orange form interrupts the sacred turbulence of the night sky with unapologetic corporeality. The pink jewel beneath the tail glows like a minor planet. Historians argue whether the work represents cosmic loneliness or simply a cat demanding wet food at 3:12 a.m.”

“reclining catastrophe in afternoon light”
by georgia o’keefeline 🐾☀️

“Abandoning the traditional vertical procession of feline departure, the artist instead presents the cat as landscape: sprawling, luminous, and utterly unbothered by bourgeois expectations of dignity. The composition weaponizes perspective, forcing the viewer into direct confrontation with velvet paws, saturated geometry, and the radiant circular emblem beneath the tail. Critics described the work as ‘either deeply profound or aggressively about cat butt.’ The distinction remains unresolved.”

“Nocturne for a Suspicious Little Beast”
by Lucien von Whisker

In this incandescent late work, von Whisker abandons linear certainty in favor of velvet-black fragmentation and cathedral violets. The cat appears less to walk away than to ascend into a private dimension of judgment. The glowing circular detail operates as both compositional anchor and tiny cosmic prank. Critics at the time called it “needlessly profound.”

This poster feels like a German design student in 1923 accidentally devoted their thesis to “the geometry of feline posterior confidence.” 🔴🟡🔵

We especially like:

* the giant red circle balancing the composition
* the tail curve echoing classic Bauhaus arcs
* the tiny little asterisk bu****le glyph being treated with absurd seriousness
* the “museum poster discovered in a forgotten archive basement” energy

The limited palette is working really well for this concept. It shows us that cat butt art can be academically sanctioned.
