THE SEWING ROOM -- this was believed to have been where Adam's four daughters, along with their mother, practiced their needlework. Excellent examples of their skills remain.

Celebrate Pat's Farmers Market!
For two years Pat Lindahl tried to bring a farmers market to Clinton. It was to celebrate and benefit The Adam Stanton House and General Store while making available local produce and goods. Policies made it a more difficult project than it should have been so Pat let her idea go,...until now. After planting a larger garden than she usually does to offset the need to shop during a pandemic, Pat has more produce than she can consume, hence "Pat's Farmers Market" in front of St Alexis Orthodox Christian Church on Main Street. Prices are great! Celebr-eat!
The Stanton House is hosting a huge tag and plant sale this Saturday, August 18th, on its grounds across from the Town Hall in Clinton from 9 - 3. Address is 63 East Main Street, Rte 1, and there are still spaces available as we were rained out last Saturday and people who had reserved spaces are not available this Saturday. Spaces are 10' x 10' for $10 and there are a limited # of 6' tables to rent for another $10. No reservations necessary; first come, first served. Set up is at 8:00. Donations gladly accepted and can be left on the porch or inside the fence now until Saturday a.m.
