We’ve joined together to help make general aviation available to anyone who has been bitten by the “bug” and has the passion to make their dreams into reality. Some, like our founders build their own airplanes. Others join to introduce youngsters to aviation through our wonderful Young Eagles Programs. Still others work on restoration projects for Chino’s fine aviation museums [some even helped rebuild a 1903 replica Wright Flyer currently on display in the Planes of Fame Museum]. Yet others simply enjoy being around these amazing machines and our wonderful community of flyers and builders. We’ve acquired a “Builder Center” where our builders can economically rent hanger space to carry out their projects while learning and sharing with each other. Everyone is welcome; people of all ages, singles and families with or without flying or building experience. We enjoy numerous social functions including parties and barbecues where we enjoy each others company while sharing and learning. Many of our members volunteer in to sell our famous bratwursts and dogs at area air shows; raising funds to send our scholarship winners to EAA’s Air Academy located in EAA’s headquarters in Oshkosh Wisconsin. The only requirements to join us is a love of aviation and membership in the EAA national organization found at www.eaa.org.

Mission: EAA Chapter 92 is a non-profit group comprised of men and women who love aviation. We’ve joined together to help make general aviation available to anyone who has been bitten by the “bug” and has the passion to make their dreams into reality.

You were all amazing today; we really showed our passion for aviation, educating and flying over 60 Young Eagles and chapter friends. I think it may have been our chapter's smoothest Young Eagles Day ever. Orange County's EAA Chapter 92 is proud to announce the launch of its 2014 Young Eagles season on March 30th. Chapter 92’s Young Eagles program is for youngsters aged 8 through 17 who will learn how airplanes work, assemble and fly a foam glider, learn about careers in aviation, enjoy lunch and finally see what SoCal neighborhoods look like from the sky. Last September the EAA’s Young Eagles program flew its 1.8 millionth Young Eagle some of whom have visualized becoming a pilot and made their dream a reality through EAA’s student member program; some with help from EAA mentor volunteers. EAA offers a free membership to all Young Eagles as part of the Young Eagles Flight Plan; this program includes free access to Sporty's Learn to Fly Course. To date, more than 22,000 Young Eagles have taken advantage of this on-line instruction with many of them becoming pilots.

How do you get started? Just click on http://eaa92.org to check the dates of our 2014 events, learn more about the experience and download the EAA information / registration form. Once you’ve decided this is for you, pre-register on-line [helps us to prepare]. On the day and time of the event show up on time and enjoy your adventure. Our chapter’s EAA member volunteers, pilots and ground crew, will: offer ground instruction; provide a lunch and finally take you up up and away on your Young Eagles flight with an FAA certified pilot.

A couple of important notes:
We are delighted to report that our EAA Chapter 92’s Young Eagles program is going to be featured on SoCal TV this spring on “PBS SoCal’s ~ Discover Orange County”. Filming will occur during our March 30th event so a release form will be required as you may end up on TV.

When they are "hosting" one of our events Yanks Air Museum and Planes of Flame Air Museum open their respective doors to our Young Eagles at no charge. This is an incredible bonus that really enhance the experience and value of our Young Eagle days and helps make for a truly unforgettable experience. We thank you for patronizing the gift shops of our outstanding partners and ask that you promote others to visit.

We ask that all Facebook users, please "like" us. Twitter users can follow us @eaa92.

Don't forget to refer your friends, classmates, relatives and neighbors to http://eaa92.org so they too can take advantage of our wonderful Young Eagle program

We’ve put in our order for “Blue Skies” so let’s all hope and pray for a beautiful clear and sunny SoCal day on March 30th.

March 24th 2012 Young Eagles Update. Over forty-five Young Eagles registered, visited POF, attended our "ground school" and ended up flying once the ceilings rose. All in all it turned out to be a FANTASTIC Young Eagle's day! We had a terrific ground school volunteer turnout and nine pilot/planes. EAA 92's Young Eagles program is so privileged to have the Whittlesey family's and POF's resouces and hosting hosts available for the kids!
Thanks to all who made this happen!

It was an amazing EAA Young Eagles Rally at the Chino airport today! At least 40 eagles were flown in seven airplanes. I wanted to send a big THANK YOU to EAA Chapter 92 for their hospitality and to all the volunteers who made this event a resounding success. I’m grateful for being able to participate in this amazing event and get to know the pilots and volunteers, despite the fact that I’m from thousands of miles away. You should all be very proud of your Chapter — I know I am. - Shane Baker, President, EAA Chapter 93, Madison, WI.
