Though the decades, I've amassed a selection of the most precious written keepsakes friends: students; deceased; and relatives, in the form of African American art.
I display these each year.

This is a 1966 history book of the famous Monument of Faith Church (Deliverance Center) est. 1964 by Rev. Richard Daniel Henton, under the legendary Apostle Arturo Skinner. The name "Monument of Faith" came from words spoken by the Chicago Evangelist Amelia Anderson, then affiliated with tent-revival preacher A.A. Allen.

This paper, saved by my late father, portrays a thriving West Side of Chicago on Madison Street. After MLK was assassinated, 90% of these businesses were torched. Madison St. shops were never rebuilt, from Western East to Damen Ave., from 1968 April 4-5th to this day.

Oh yes...in this issue, my dad's USPO Softball Team are featured trophy winners from Midwest Postal Station 116 S. Western Ave.
