Our Great Falls Movie Night finally has a new date! 🎬

After weather forced us to cancel our original showing, we’re excited to bring The Patriot to Great Falls on Saturday, September 26.

And what better place to watch a Revolutionary War movie than where history actually happened?

Before the movie, hear from a historian about the Revolutionary War battles fought right here in Chester County and why our community played such an important role in America’s fight for independence.

🪑 Arrive at 6:30 PM to grab your seat and enjoy the pre-show presentation.
🎬 The movie begins at 7:00 PM.
🍿 Free popcorn and bottled water will be available while supplies last.
📍 Great Falls War Memorial Building, 401 Dearborn Street, Great Falls, SC

Please note: The Patriot is rated R for war violence. Viewer discretion is advised.
Bring your lawn chairs or blankets and join us for an evening of history under the stars.

Another great opportunity to learn about our amazing history!

Join us and Prof. Eddie Lee as he begins a series to give us a guided tour through key events in our region's history, beginning with the Colonization of South Carolina's Backcountry. Our first program will be on August 22, 2026 at 10:30 a.m. at the Chester Main Library.

Eddie, as we from Chester call him, shares lively historical facts in a family friendly event where comments and questions are greatly encouraged.

This presentation is part of a celebration of the SC250 Anniversary!

Are you ready to experience the people, the stories, and the document that changed the course of our nation? Come and sign your name at The Declaration Experience today.

Presentations begin at 2pm, 2:45pm, and 3:30pm. Arrive a few minutes before the session you’d like to attend.
