It was a beautiful wedding and Tim and Ashley are a beautiful couple. It was an honor and pleasure to have their wedding at MacCallum More Museum & Gardens

Tim and Michael go waaaay back- their families have been best of friends and next door neighbors for almost 30 years! I was so honored when I got the call from Tim asking if I would consider shooting their wedding! Tim & Ashley are two of the sweetest people you will ever meet. I'm seriously so sad…

Another beautiful morning at MMMG. Come visit before the axaleas fade.

In collaboration with Earth Day 2015 and Mecklenburg County's 250th Anniversary Celebration, we are sponsoring a "Clean-Up Chase City Day" on Saturday, April 18th from 8:30 until noon. Our goal is to repair & paint the sides of the old Leggett store. In addition to this project we are reaching out to all churches and civic organizations within Chase City to extend our beautification efforts to the remainder of the town. So we are looking for volunteers on this day to collect trash and spruce up areas within our town. If you are interested in helping out please contact us. 372-5042

Also we will be having vendors at the Pavilion selling plants, crafts and bake sales. Anyone interested in setting up a booth just let us know.

Latest Art Show in MacCallum More Museum:

A "Meet the Artist" Reception will be held on Sunday, July 13, 4pm to 6pm at the museum. It is open to the public and free. Refreshments will be served.

The following is an excerpt from article appearing in local papers:

This month at MacCallum More Museum and Gardens located at 603 Hudgins Street, in Chase City, The Chase City Art Club and its Federation of Artists members will be exhibiting a Collaborative Art Show. The Art show will be on display at the Museums Art Galley from July 1 to July 30, 2014 for all visitors to enjoy. The main feel of the show will focus on "Folk Art" in a variety of mediums. Highlighted will be works by Charlene Osborne, Judith Johnson, Patricia Hoyle, Euland Hoyle, Susi Robbins, Harry Click, Judith Mathis and Elsa Cristina Gailor. The indoor exhibit will feature folk art paintings of cotton picking days, snow scenes with children at play or a Buckingham Branch Train at a crossing by Charlene Osborn. Experience Diana Thorp water color compositions of Day Lily's with frolicking humming birds or a sun lit flower pot gently depicting mastery of light and depth of color. Come and enjoy Judith Johnson and her oil paintings of dogs up close and personal, in vibrant colors capturing almost human like personalities. Hypertufa pots with sculptures of frogs and birds, jewelry sets made from wire and recycled jeans and abstract paintings all by Susi Robbins. Unique purses, pin cushions and beautiful runners hand made by Patricia Hoyle. Wood bowls and salt and pepper shakers made from local reclaimed wood and crafted with mastery by Euland Hoyle. Exquisite miniature water color landscapes by Elsa C. Gailor. Twig mirror frames skillfully made by Harry Click. Judith Mathis paintings, portraying whimsical scenes for the holidays. Just to mention a few and many more works will be on display this month and can be purchased at the Gardens. Come and enjoy the collective fruits of our artistic labor.
