Can anyone write a Haiku

These rules apply to writing haiku:

1. There are no more than 17 syllables.
2. Haiku is composed of only 3 lines.
3. Typically, every first line of Haiku has 5 syllables, the second line has 7 syllables, and the third has 5 syllables.

Some American poets advocate writing in 3-5-3 syllables or 2-3-2 accented beats.

Here are some 3-5-3 haiku I wrote through the years:

Explosion
Thoughts like confetti
Mute reason

teetering
precariously
awaiting

Salvation!
From ones soul it hides
Discontent

They look down
I hide from their eyes
Paranoid

Constant pain�Permeates my core�Mind-f**king
