Poe's watch to be auctioned off at Christie's!
A pocket watch owned by the celebrated macabre mystery writer Edgar Allen Poe is heading for auction at Christie's next month.
Edgar Allan Poe spent the last years of his life, from 1846 to 1849, in The Bronx at Poe Cottage, now located at East Kingsbridge Road and the Grand Concourse. In this small 1812 farmhouse, he wrote "The Bells","Annabel Lee" and more.
