Happy Cat Day! Grundy Household had a cat. We are always curious who this cat belonged to and what its name was. From these photographs in our collection, it looks like it was likely spending most of its time with the domestic staff of the Grundy family.

Philadelphia Chapter of the Victorian Society of America Grundy Museum Tour

Last weekend a group from the newly formed Philadelphia chapter of the Victorian Society of America toured the Museum and Grounds. Museum Director John Whitenight and Docent Autumn led the group through the gardens and the Museum. It was another perfect day along the banks of the Delaware River.

Our gardens come alive as living works of art!

We had a fantastic time Friday night along the Delaware River on the River Park! The Olde Fashioned Picnic was a great success and the weather was perfect!

Over 250 guests enjoyed music by the Bristol Community Band, free hot dogs, potato salad, snacks, ice cream from West Catering, and special cookies made by Donna’s Delicious Delights.

Our Summer Basket Raffle winner was so excited that he won. We love having everyone visit and enjoy our grounds.

Join us August 21st from 6-8pm for our final Picnic in the Park of the summer! Parlour Noir from Philadelphia will be performing so bring your dancing shoes!

Our Olde Fashioned Picnic in the Park is starting. Please head over to the River Park of the Grundy Museum. 🇺🇸 the Bristol Community Band is getting ready to start and our FREE food includes hotdogs, potato salad or chips, cookies, ice cream and drinks. 🌭thanks to West Catering & Events and Donna’s Delicious Delights for creating our food for the evening!

Join us tomorrow, July 24, at 6pm for a fun, family-friendly evening at the Grundy Museum's Riverfront Park as we celebrate America250!

We'll be offering snacks, lemonade, ice cream, cookies—while supplies last. You're also welcome to bring your own picnic fare and non-alcoholic beverages. We'll have chairs and tables available, but feel free to bring your own lawn chairs or blankets to relax and enjoy the evening.

This FREE event features live music by the Bristol Community Band, lawn games, crafts, and refreshments for all ages.

All refreshments, crafts, and lawn games are free and available on a first-come, first-served basis. No alcohol will be served or allowed, as this is a family-friendly event.

We hope you'll join us for a wonderful evening of music, community, and celebration!

What a wonderful week we had at Victorian Kids Camp!

From baking a cake using a recipe straight from Mary Grundy's recipe book to playing marbles in the museum and creating landscape paintings along the river, our campers enjoyed a week full of hands-on activities that brought Victorian history to life!

At the end of the week, our campers (ages 7–12) proudly shared what they had learned by giving guided tours of the museum to their families! We loved their enthusiasm and all they accomplished!
