Today we celebrate two special occasions! Happy Birthday to Mary R. Grundy and Happy Anniversary to William & Mary R. Grundy!

Born September 27, 1838, Mary Lamb Ridgway grew up on her family’s estate along Rancocas Creek. An avid traveler, Mary spoke French and traveled extensively with family, friends, and sometimes on her own.

Mary married William Grundy in 1860 after a five-year courtship. Their wedding took place at her parents’ farm, Pine Grove, outside Mt. Holly, New Jersey.

Visit William and Mary’s home, which is now the Grundy Museum and discover what life was like together.
