A piece of Disney pin history from before pin trading became a phenomenon.

This original 1997 Disney Store Hercules display promoted the film’s Sneak Preview Weekend and its Limited Edition Collector Pin Set.
What makes pieces like this so special to preserve isn’t simply the pins themselves. It’s the original context—the display, artwork, promotional material, and even the commemorative Sneak Preview Weekend ticket dated June 22, 1997.
Disney Store displays and props are coveted pieces of Disney history, and we’re incredibly fortunate to preserve this original 1997 Hercules display in the Archive, complete with the collector pins and commemorative ticket.
This isn’t a recreation or simply documentation of the release. This is the surviving display itself, preserved nearly 30 years later—a fascinating example of Disney pin collecting before modern Disney pin trading took shape.

Archive Edge just added the complete 2020 Carnival Masks Hidden Disney pin sets from both Walt Disney World AND Disneyland — including the hard-to-find completers! 🔥
The 2020 era is an especially interesting piece of Disney pin history. With COVID disrupting the parks and Hidden Disney releases, pins from this period can be surprisingly scarce — and assembling complete sets with their completers is no easy task.
Now both coasts are together, complete and preserved in the Archive. 🗃️✨

📌 ARCHIVE EDGE — D23 DAY 2: DEC 📌
Saturday at D23 meant another huge round of releases from the Disney Employee Center (DEC) — and we’re adding one of every single pin we picked up into the Archive Edge collection. 🔍✨
There were a LOT of standouts in this release, including some pins I was seriously excited to finally see in person.
But the hunt isn’t over… 👀
🎯 3 major ISOs still missing 🖼️ ALL of the framed sets still needed
And those frames? Yeah… those are going to be the painful ones. 😂
The goal is simple: preserve as complete a record of these releases as possible — one pin at a time.

Not all Hidden Disney pins are created equal.
At ArchiveEdge, one of our main goals right now is building a physical comparison of every Hidden Disney pin ever made.
Because when you actually own and archive them…
you start to see what others miss.
Knowledge is everything in this hobby.
This is the infamous 2011 Disneyland Hidden Disney Alphabet series — one of the most common sets you’ll find on the boards.
But here’s what most people don’t realize:
There are multiple versions of these pins…
and some are simply less magical than others.
