On the night of April 18, 1775, right before the first engagement of the American Revolution. The British Army had planned to come to a city called Concord. My partner, William Dawes, and I got ready for the alert, which began when a church signaled to us that the army was coming from the Charles River. We then went on to meet with John Hancock and Samuel Adams in a city called Lexington to warn about the army while also warning people on the way.
