The Cordial Eye is a community arts organization based on the Mid-Cape that strives to use the arts and arts education as a tool for expanding the definition of who belongs on Cape Cod and what it means to be a creative person here. We are dedicated to dismantling systems of oppression in our community by creating space for marginalized groups to amplify their impact in creating a more just and eq

uitable world through gathering, experimentation, exhibitions, and cultural expression. Our two branches - The Cordial Eye Artist Space, which provides performance, exhibition, and professional development opportunities for artists, and The Cordial Eye Learning Lab, which provides educational opportunities for learners of all ages- are committed to centering the voices and needs of historically-excluded communities. By creating programming by, for, and with these communities- which include BIPOC folks, LGBTQ+ folks, disabled folks, and folks with financial barriers to access- we seek to create a Cape Cod that is vibrant, equitable, and a place of belonging for all

Today was our LAST day of 9 weeks of In-Betweener Days art camp! This year, we filled over 120 camp spots, provided 9 hours of daily care Monday-Friday, used approximately 1 million paintbrushes, and shared an uncountable number of laugh with our young artists. The HUGEST of thanks goes out to our incredible camp team: Nor, Alexis, Evie, and Kai. Their everyday presence, creativity, care, and HARD WORK kept this summer running smoothly and kept all of our kiddos knowing that they are loved and lovable. Our crew of caregivers is unmatched and we’re already counting down the days til next summer! 😉

Not pictured: our wonderful team of subs, who stepped in many times to cover a Teaching Artist who had to be out. Thank you to Ray, Allecia, Craig, and Dani for saving the day, several times!

Alma Sangre creates music that feels both ancient and immediate—made for listeners drawn to global sounds, emotional depth, and performances that resonate long after the final note.

James Troubadour Davis is a homegrown legend playing haunting, alternative guitar that you won’t want to miss.
