The Cordial Eye is a community arts organization based on the Mid-Cape that strives to use the arts and arts education as a tool for expanding the definition of who belongs on Cape Cod and what it means to be a creative person here. We are dedicated to dismantling systems of oppression in our community by creating space for marginalized groups to amplify their impact in creating a more just and equitable world through gathering, experimentation, exhibitions, and cultural expression. Our two branches - The Cordial Eye Artist Space, which provides performance, exhibition, and professional development opportunities for artists, and The Cordial Eye Learning Lab, which provides educational opportunities for learners of all ages- are committed to centering the voices and needs of historically-excluded communities. By creating programming by, for, and with these communities- which include BIPOC folks, LGBTQ+ folks, disabled folks, and folks with financial barriers to access- we seek to create a Cape Cod that is vibrant, equitable, and a place of belonging for all

We would like to invite you to the 2026 Cordial Eye Ball, The Cordial Eye’s annual gala! Honoring the celebration of Día de Mu***os, this is an artful evening of music, food, and community. This evening will also be the opening reception for, “Wish You Were Here,” an exhibition posthumously honoring the works of artists from our community who have passed.

The Cordial Eye Ball is our annual fundraiser that raises money we can use to keep the organization open. We’re talking about toilet paper, the internet bill, our annual audit fees and our monthly dumpster fees. These things are hard to fundraise for, but really impact TCE’s ability to survive and thrive.

It would be greatly appreciated to get your help in this effort!

Ways to get involved:

•Donate an item to the piñata like gift cards, stickers, jewelry

•Become a sponsor

•Share the event with people you know!

•Attend the event, tickets are $50, with an option to buy a ticket for an artist in our community to celebrate with us

Because The Cordial Eye is a 501(c)3, all donations are tax deductible.

The Cordial Eye Ball will take place at 5pm on Saturday, November 7th on Main Street, Hyannis.

The last session of Creative Care for 2026 begins on October 20 and continues for 6 weeks until November 24. This session will be led by Curiouslipe and will be for youth of all genders.

Creative Care is a program that uses the transformative power of the arts to support community health and well-being. Designed in partnership with art therapist and art educator, Charity O’Neill, Creative Care uses arts-based mentorship to cultivate the skills and resources associated with resilience.

This program is designed for youth between the ages of 9-13 and meets every week, on Tuesdays from 5pm-6:30pm.

Participation in Creative Care is offered at no cost to participants. Enrollment is limited to 12 students per group; spots are available on a first-come, first-served basis and dinner will be provided.

A little bit about the headlining artist:

jason calhoun is an ambient and electronic musician living outside of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The hallmark of jason calhoun’s music—either under his given name or under the naps alias—is an emotional resonance that allows fragility and perseverance to occupy the same space. Though humble in his approach, calhoun has done something quietly extraordinary in building a body of work that, unlike so much music that seeks to transport you elsewhere, instead asks you to check in with yourself. Some tracks are postcard-like in their brevity and sense of tidings, while others shift the listener into a denser headspace, generously allowing for more sustained reflection. His most recent release is ‘monarch’ out on distant bloom. Dear Life Records will also be reissuing earlier releases ‘Jedidiah’ and ‘Notebook’ this Spring.

Join us for the 4th annual Cordial Eye Ball! Our yearly gala honoring the celebration of Día de Mu***os. You will experience an artful evening of music, food, and connection. Our community ofrenda will be installed, the dance floor will be open, and -best of all- our Cordial Eye Ball piñata will be making an appearance, with chances for you to win lots of exciting goodies!

All proceeds from the Ball will support TCE’s crucial work, including opportunities for artists, programs for community learners, vital community third spaces for all, and using the arts and culture to create a more equitable Cape Cod.

Tickets are $50, with an option to buy a ticket for an artist in our community to celebrate with us!

We are looking for sponsors for the event and you have two options! Your business can donate items to go into our Cordial Eye Ball piñata or choose from one of the tiers below to support us.
