This morning, Maryland State Parks and other outdoor spaces were reopened. At this time, Baltimore City’s guidance on outdoor spaces remains the same. In the meantime, residents are encouraged to practice social distancing and wear face coverings while in parks. We hope to resume normal operations as quickly and as safely as possible.

Please stay tuned as guidelines change, updates will be provided.

The bulbs we've been forcing for the past 6 months are blooming! Although our spring show is cancelled, you can enjoy some of the blooms here. We will be selling the bulbs this fall (date TBD), so now's a great chance to take notes on which you'd like to see in your own garden next spring!

"Forcing" is a process of "tricking" bulbs to bloom out of season indoors by providing them with the right conditions - we force them using a giant walk-in cooler here at the Conservatory.

Here’s a little tour of our spring bulbs. Very few are at their peak yet, so there will be more videos to come!

With Governor Larry Hogan’s stay-at-home order in effect, now more than ever, it’s important to be mindful of how we use our parks and trails. Everyone must practice social distancing and stay at least six feet apart from others at all times. Team sports and large gatherings are not allowed. We urge all residents to act responsibly to keep our city safe and healthy.

What is the phone number for the cell phone tour?
Our toddler came for a visit to escape the rain today and had a fantastic time smelling fragrant plants and watching the fish in the pond. Thank you for being a great community asset!
Thank You for giving one of the best "living" gifts ever! In the fall of 2016, I attended your free tree giveaway and took home a small, about foot and a half tall Fig Tree sapling. I was hopeful that it would survive the winter and grow tall and healthy. This was my first ever tree! To my extreme delight, my Fig Tree not only grew, it got HUGE and it has been bearing hundreds of figs! They are delicious!!! Thank you! This is my tree's only 3rd summer anh just look at it!!!! 🌱 This is Spring of 2017 (after surviving its 1st winter)

Many species of tropical plants. The staff are very friendly. The old iron work conservatory is beautiful. Only wish there was a little cafe.
One of Baltimore's most beautiful spots. There's always something new to see as the plants grow and bloom and change through the seasons.
This is great! Is this being done in phases?
Loved the decorations this year! Beautiful :-) Everyone should check the Annual Holiday Show out before it ends!!
This is a wonderful and one of the first conservatory's in the USA, right here in Baltimore, Md. Rawlings Conservatory & Botanical Gardens. Educational programs throughout the year.
Can you identify this flower for me??
My vintage red cruiser bike was stolen from my fenced back yard on 8/25 or 8/26 in Reservoir Hill (21217). It is very distinctive, a women's/adult Huffy "Good Vibrations" with fenders and a wire basket in front, see photo. The bike was most likely stolen from someone in the neighborhood who saw me riding to Druid Hill park with my dog in the wire basket. It is difficult to see the (covered) bike in my back yard unless you are within arm's distance from the fence and intentionally peer between the slats. I usually lock the gate but must have forgotten after I took out the trash for the Friday morning pick up. (Old age sucks!) I have reported this information to the police. My dog is too old to walk to the park anymore, and this was the perfect bike for us. ;( >>> If you see the bike, PLEASE call 311 and report the location. I would appreciate you contacting me as well, if you would be so kind. THANK YOU! +++ NO QUESTIONS ASKED if the bike is returned to my home or any neutral location (like the Conservatory bike rack!).
One of my favorites places in Baltimore - amazing Baltimore with its beauty all around
