A Peace of My Mind is a collection of "introspective" poetry written by new author, Vickie Brent-Touray. Although this author may be new to the literary world, she has wielded an ink pen and an opinion for all of her life. A true "70s child", Vickie was born and raised about 25 miles north of Detroit in the City of Pontiac, Michigan in the wake of "great industry, greater music, the best food and even better times." The entire Midwest was thriving and pulsing in the cradle of what was affectionately known as "The Big 3" (Ford, General Motors, and Chrysler companies). It was in this great metropolis that the author was first inspired to pen personal experiences of visions, smells and sounds that she considered truly "marvelous" in their own rite.
