Who Is Alvin Fudge?

The 8th of 14 artistically gifted children born January 18, 1948 to Neutie and Viola Fudge, Araaman Alvin Fudge is a native of Newark, New Jersey. His father was a barber and his mother a seamstress who made quilts and clothing for Alvin and his siblings. Mr. & Mrs. Fudge inspired all of their children to express their creativity. Nearly everything they used was made by hand. Like most of his brothers and sisters, Alvin attended Arts High School in Newark, New Jersey.

At 21 years of age Alving Fudge became a junior partner of Mid Block Art Gallery, the first black art gallery established in 1966, in East Orange, New Jersey. Fellow artists included; Florian Jenkins and Barbara Fudge-Jenkins. In this role, Alvin Fudge created innovative workshops in building and maintaining self esteem, communication skills, teamwork, and creative self-expression. He is a skilled artist who dedicates his art to self love and world peace.

Fudge fuses vibrant colors, texture, eclectic style, and recycled materials into his art making each piece unique and one of a kind originals. He takes his art collectors on an exciting inner journey. Some have referred to his art as, "happy paintings."
