This is one of the new Duy Huynh paintings that was unveiled this past weekend at our sibling gallery, Bronze Coast Gallery. It is called "Tide Together". Acrylic on canvas 30"x30".
It is a play on the words tide and tied, and it points to the connection of the moon with the tidal movement of water. The woman holds a string that connects the water to the moon.

We are now fetauring paintings by Renée Zangara in the front of the gallery. Renée resides in Portland, Oregon and is an active member of the regional art community. Renée’s work has been exhibited nationally and is in private and public collections. Morgan Brig essentially sees herself as a 3D collage artist. In her figures she brings disparate materials to create a unified being, imbued with emotive human expression.

“When I’m working on a piece, I feel in fleeting moments that it’s come to life. I give them bright bows and dark memories, bringing them to reality with whispered stories. I work with my own personal narratives to develop a darkly whimsical illustration by building a new story that reinvents a past moment or a current truth. I see a beautiful darkness in childhood and nostalgia, in the way memories shift and shudder as we grow farther apart from them.” -Kelsey Bowen

Curatorial ambition and a clear aesthetic.

Brumfield Gallery is a contemporary art gallery with curatorial ambition, a clear aesthetic and a lot of heart. It first opened on April 1st 2017 as Imprint Gallery in Cannon Beach, and relocated to Astoria, and rebranded under the name Brumfield Gallery in 2020.

It focusses on figurative and narrative art with a quirky edge, showing painting, sculpture and printmaking by established and mid career artists. They are currently open Thursday - Sunday and by appointment. To book a viewing appointment to fit your schedule, email them at [email protected].
