Graceful and quietly expressive, this reclining horse by Tina Curry captures a serene moment of rest—where strength meets stillness.

Handcrafted in terracotta, the sculpture features rich, natural surface variations created through alternative firing techniques, celebrating the raw beauty of the clay without the use of traditional glazes.

With over three decades of experience, Curry brings a refined eye and deep understanding of form to each piece—resulting in work that feels both timeless and deeply personal.

Playful, thought-provoking, and rich with storytelling, Hare Today, Gone Tomorrow is part of Libba Tracy’s Critters on the Go series—whimsical ceramic sculptures that blur the line between folk art charm and classical form. Perched on wheels and adorned with a botanical carrot motif, this delightful rabbit feels as if it might roll off at any moment, carrying its quiet message along for the ride.

Handcrafted in clay and kiln-fired, the piece reflects Tracy’s deep connection to the natural world and her fascination with animal behavior. Beneath its humor and imaginative design lies a more urgent narrative—an exploration of environmental change and the fragile balance between humans and the ecosystems they inhabit.

Warm, earthy, and richly textured, this ochre ceramic basket by Hannie Goldgewicht is a striking blend of clay and fiber artistry. Hand-thrown on the potter’s wheel, the form is carefully trimmed and fired before being finished with painterly patinas that enhance its natural depth and tone.

Encircling the rim, a handwoven band of pine needles adds both structure and visual contrast. Each needle is thoughtfully selected, cleaned, and stitched using a waxed thread in a traditional coil method—a technique the artist began studying in Argentina under master fiber artist Delfa Deriu. The result is a seamless fusion of ceramic and basketry traditions.

Rooted in her background in sculpture and shaped by travels across Europe, the Middle East, and the Americas, Goldgewicht’s work reflects a deep sensitivity to form, material, and cultural influence. Each piece is entirely one-of-a-kind, celebrating the beauty of slow, intentional craftsmanship.
