Amesbury Carriage Festival A celebration of the 19th century “Carriage Centre of the World”.

A fun and educational event in support of the Amesbury Carriage Museum and the Carriage Barn Equine Assisted Therapy Programs where individuals, families, and the carriage driving community are invited to celebrate and help preserve the region's carriage making legacy.

Mission: Educate plus build awareness and appreciation for the Amesbury, MA region's historic carriage making industry and its lessons for today. Amesbury was once known as "The Carriage Centre of the World".

By all accounts, a successful Amesbury Carriage Festival 2012 is now part of history! But, we can enjoy the photos and memories for days to come...First day photos from Saturday evening are up (thank you to friend Ron McKinnon for these and his invaluable help with set-up and break-down). 2012 Festival Day 1 - Saturday, June 30, 6:00 - 8:30 PM: Bluegrass, Brew & BBQ featuring Southern Rail band, Cody Brewing Co. craft beer, dinner from The American BBQ, raffle, auction and more amid antique carriage displays in the indoor arena. Fundraiser (Day 1 of the Festival, Day 2 is FREE) by advance sale or take your chances at the door (limited seating). REGISTER FOR TICKETS at www.AmesburyCarriageFest.com. "Like" us for the latest Festival info.! Festival Day 2 - Sunday, July 1, 11:00 AM - 4:00 PM: FREE indoor and outdoor festivities for all ages - vendors, food, and "A Sporting Day of Traditional Driving" competition by drivers and their horse-drawn carriages, moderated by experts from the Carriage Assoc. of America and Carriage Museum of America; blacksmithing demos plus carriage, early auto, and vintage motorcycle displays.
