Cannabidiol: The side of marijuana you don't know

Truth Without Propaganda.

If there's a marijuana-related compound you've heard of, it's likely Tetrahydrocannabinol, or THC.

THC is what makes you high and the reason most recreational users partake. What most don't know is the medicinal value of the plant comes mostly from a different source: cannabidiol.

Cannibidiol (CBD) is a non-psychoactive component of marijuana that possesses a wide range of therapeutic benefits. When present in high quantities, CBD enhances THC's positive effects while negating many of the negatives. It's clear both cannabanoids coexist in the plant for a reason, often acting synergistically.CBD reverses alcohol-induced brain damage.

According to a recent University of Kentucky study, cannabidiol can prompt physiological brain changes that could help offset the damage caused by chronic alcoholism. The study found that administration of CBD resulted in a 48.8% reduction in entorhinal cortex neurodegeneration. Stoners have known forever that a few tokes provide incredible hangover relief, but this study takes the therapeutic potential of cannabanoids to a whole new level.

Read more about one of the many cannabanoids that are more than beneficial to mankind:

Around 1450 BC Cannabis is referenced in the Book of Exodus.

Holy anointing oil, as described in the original Hebrew version of the recipe in Exodus (30:22-23), contained over six pounds of kaneh-bosem, a substance identified by respected etymologists, linguists, anthropologists, botanists and other researchers as cannabis, extracted into about six quarts of olive oil, along with a variety of other fragrant herbs. "The ancient anointed ones were literally drenched in this potent mixture."

A group of ancient Egyptian medical texts, recommends a mixture of parsley juice, hemp oil, and water as an eyewash. This is the oldest solid textual evidence of medical marijuana use, though it is not clear that this would have capitalized on any of its psychoactive properties.

Most trees take many years for them to be able to produce paper and wood items. But with hemp it can produce things within at most 120 days.

Industrial Hemp might be a decent idea for American production......?

Truth Without Propaganda.

One acre of hemp can produce the same amount of paper as at least 4 acres of trees.

We should be able to grow industrial hemp for its many benefits.

We've come along way since the days when a poet gets sentenced to upwards of 10 yrs for 2 joints of marijuana.

John Sinclair author, poet and activist (born October 2, 1941, in Flint, Michigan) mutated from small-town rock’n’roll fanatic and teenage disc jockey to cultural revolutionary, pioneer of marijuana activism, radical leader and political prisoner by the end of the 1960s.
The John Sinclair Freedom Rally, held in Crisler Arena on December 10, 1971, is one of the most memorable concerts in Ann Arbor history and one of the most significant in the history of Rock and Roll, due in large part to John Lennon's decision to appear in support of radical White Panther leader John Sinclair, who was currently serving 8 1/2 to 10 years in prison for the possession of two marijuana cigarettes.
Motown's Steve Wonder, folksinger Phil Ochs, and jazz legend Archie Schepp, plus Ann Arbor's own Bob Seger, Commander Cody and His Lost Planet Airmen, Teegarden & Van Winkle and The Up showed up to contribute. Speaker including Bobby Seale, Allen Ginsberg, and Rennie Davis all showed up in support of John Sinclair.
Sinclair was released from Jackson Prison after a twenty nine month campaign to gain his freedom. Three days after the concert, the Michigan Supreme Court released Sinclair, and later overturned his conviction.

Thank you John Sinclair for being radical, righteous and helping pave the way in the legalization of Cannabis.
