Lynnewood Hall was designed by Horace Trumbaur, and built between 1897 and 1900 for the Widener family. Investors of the White Star Line, and who lost family during the sinking of the Titanic. Currently the 110 room estate is owned by the First Korean Church of New York. They have listed it for sale a few times, but have never actually finalized any deals. Today the house sits largely abandoned on 30 acres of land, and is falling apart due to neglect. This once opulent building was the peak example of Edwardian style and decor. Boasting 55 bedrooms, 20 bathrooms, a ballroom, a pool, a squash quart, an art gallery, and hosting parties for the wealthiest and most elite people from around the world. Lynnewood Hall is a dying piece of history, and it is this groups mission to find a way to raise the fund and buy the property so real work can begin to finally restore this palace to its former glory.
