Erimtan Arkeoloji ve Sanat Müzesi, yaklaşık iki bin taşınır eserden oluşan koleksiyonunun ve diğer özel koleksiyonlarda bulunan eserlerin kamuya açılması ve izleyiciyle paylaşılması düşüncesiyle yola çıkmış, çağdaş müzecilik anlayışını benimsemiş bir kurumdur. Müzenin misyonu, coğrafyamızın kültürel mirasının korunmasının yanı sıra, koleksiyonunu izleyicisine alışılagelmiş sergileme yöntemlerind
en farklı şekillerde sunarak objelerin estetik değerlerinin de öne çıkmasını sağlamaktadır. Eserleri bir olay örgüsü ile bir araya getiren müze, izleyicinin eski çağlardan günümüze kalmış olan mirası, güncel yaşamın unsurlarıyla ilişkilendirilmesini kuvvetlendirmeyi amaçlar. Sürekli ve süreli sergileriyle müze, sadece arkeolojik eserlerin toplandığı, korunduğu ve sergilendiği anıtsal bir mekan olmanın yanı sıra, içinde bulunduğu toplumun kültürüyle etkileşimini sağlarken aynı zamanda müzik dallarına da ev sahipliği yaparak yerveren çok amaçlı bir mekana dönüşür. Müze, bu misyonu doğrultusunda, izleyicisi ile doğru etkileşimi yaratmak ve sürdürmek için aktif eğitim programları geliştirir.

The Erimtan Archaeology and Arts Museum aims at sharing its collection of 2000 objects with the public as well as exhibiting Works from other private collections in a state of the art contemporary museum environment. Its mission is focused on the preservation of the cultural heritage of this geography while offering a different visitation experience through an innovative exhibition design that puts at the forefront the aesthetic value of the objects. Objects are presented within the context of a story line that enhances the correlation between realities of dialy life with the heritage of ancient epochs that survived to our day. With its permanent and temporary exhibition the museum will not just collect, conserve and exhibit in a monumental context Works of Archaeology but will strive to have closer interaction with the cultural setting of society.In fact it will diverse musical events, thus transforming the museum into a multi facetted organism. As an extension of its mission and in order to attain the greatest level of interaction with its audience the museum will conduct active educational programs.
