I have the honor to present this creative project, conceived within a rigorous framework of and High Environmental Quality (HQE) standards.
The development comprises a master-planned subdivision integrating a photovoltaic power station, a and residential care center for the elderly with a capacity exceeding 300 units—including chalets and suites—and a programmatic approach grounded in psychology, accessibility standards, and well-being-oriented design principles. The project also includes an equestrian center dedicated to leisure and therapeutic activities, as well as a hilltop guesthouse offering panoramic 360-degree sea views, with approximately 50 rooms and around twenty independent chalets.
Given the mountainous and highly irregular topography of the site, the architectural strategy of the convalescence center adopts an approach, closely following the natural contours and stratifications of the terrain. The built forms emerge from the landscape, establishing a seamless fusion between architecture and nature, and generating a new hybrid topography where vegetated roofs function as accessible terrains, encouraging pedestrian circulation and contemplative promenades.
Solar control is ensured through the integration of adaptive brise-soleil systems on façades, calibrated according to orientation and solar exposure, optimizing both visual comfort and thermal performance within interior spaces. Interior design and custom furniture have been meticulously developed in accordance with geriatric ergonomic and psychological requirements, ensuring safety, legibility, and spatial reassurance.
A comprehensive care infrastructure—including a center, wellness , restaurant facilities, and ancillary services—has been incorporated to meet users’ needs while maintaining a high level of comfort and operational efficiency.
The architectural composition privileges abundant natural light and establishes a strong continuity between interior and exterior spaces, articulated through landscaped courtyards, large luminous patios, and elevated walkways that enhance visual permeability and facilitate fluid transitions between functional zones.
Accessibility is reinforced through a network of gently sloping ramps aligned with natural light wells, ensuring seamless circulation across different levels and extending access to rooftop terraces. This continuous promenade system reinforces the experiential integration with the surrounding landscape.
The external chalets are organized in a lotus-inspired configuration, fostering a sense of community among residents while preserving individual autonomy. These units are designed to achieve a degree of energy self-sufficiency through rainwater harvesting systems and photovoltaic roofing, while creating a warm and atmosphere through the use of natural materials, particularly timber.
This is a project of high complexity, combining architectural creativity, technical rigor, and continuous knowledge updating. It reflects a transdisciplinary approach, integrating , , design, and geriatric psychology into a coherent and holistic vision.
