Generation Glas is CFHILL's new exhibition at Skottorp Castle. Running until August 3rd, the exhibition is a dazzling exploration of contemporary glass art — where tradition meets experiment, and light breathes life into form. Generation Glas presents a rich panorama of poetic expression and technical innovation, featuring both pioneering artists and bold new voices.

One of the artists featured is , with works from his exhibition Ad Libitum at Kosta Boda Art Gallery fall 2024/spring 2025.

"The success of these objects relies on the dynamics of the team, their comfort with each other, with him, and with the process he has laid out. This is always the case in blown glass design objects, but Klenell’s approach amplifies and requires this dynamic more than most. Because unlike other designers, who call on skilled artisans to translate their work from the page to the hot shop more or less directly, Klenell’s scores leave spaces for improvisation, little 'breathing spaces' that require the glassblower to work beyond the well-worn grooves of the known."

–Susie J. Silbert about Ad Libitum

Skottorp Castle is located a short drive from Torekov and Båstad in Skåne, welcome to experience Generation Glas until August 3rd.

Welcome June and a brand-new Crackle Edition Artist by Åsa Jungnelius.

The Crackle Edition Artist pieces are mouth-blown in Kosta and made in editions of five unique, numbered pieces, signed by the artist. Crackle defies preconceptions and makes a glassblower’s nightmare - cracked glass - its hallmark. Here it is used to give the object beauty and character. The clay mold is hollowed out by hand and the cracked surface is formed using a historical technique where the hot glass is dipped in ice-cold water. The result is a series of products whose expression changes depending on perspective and distance, and which are reminiscent of sculptures made of colored or clear ice.

OH BABY!

The exhibition Baby, by artist Hanna Hansdotter and ceramicist and multi-disciplinary artist Kakan Hermansson, presents a collection of “very impractical,” sculptural objects, created in collaboration with the master blowers at Kosta Glassworks.

With playful references to the history of glass, the works in the exhibition offer a lavishly rich, exuberant spectrum of colors, marbling and patterns - all combined.

Experience Baby at Kosta Boda Art Gallery until September 28th, 2025.

Final days of the exhibition Glaskonst, in collaboration with PostNord, at Kosta Boda Art Gallery. The exhibition showcases the stamps and art works part of PostNord's stamp theme Glass Art in 2025.

Possible themes are discussed in PostNord's Frimärksråd (Stamp Council) - ideas admitted to the council by the public indicate what Swedes want to see as motifs. One such suggestion was "glass bottles for perfume" which the council developed into the theme Glass Art.

In collaboration with designer Daniel Bjugård, the theme was defined to include works from the past 20 years including works from Kosta Boda Art Glass by artists Frida Fjellman, Simon Klenell and Åsa Jungnelius.

The exhibition closes tomorrow, May 18th.

As a glass artist, Engman has always been a storyteller. He is passionate about building imaginary worlds of glass and other elements – sets, lighting, and other effects, such as fragrance and of course, music, soundtracks. The story in Reflection is based on three different stories and includes both new works and classics from Engman's nearly 50-year career.

The exhibition is open until September 28th, 2025.

A small, often beautiful receipt that ensures communication to all addresses throughout Sweden and beyond. PostNord Sweden has been issuing stamps since 1855, with motifs characterized by current themes and "good design of our time."

The stamp's journey begins in PostNord's Frimärksråd (Stamp Council), where possible themes are discussed. Ideas admitted to the council by the public indicate what Swedes want to see as motifs.

A warm welcome to Kosta Boda Art Gallery today at 11am for the opening of Glaskonst, in attendance of Frida Axiö and Stina Olofsdotter from PostNord.

The second exhibition to open at Kosta Boda Art Gallery during Glaskonsthelgen is Reflection by Kjell Engman.

Music has always permeated Engman's glass art – not only in his popular glass instruments, but in the dancing musicality and joie de vivre conveyed by his figures, objects and settings.

A warm welcome to Kosta Boda Art Gallery for the opening of Reflection on Saturday April 26th at 11am.
