Gdy ktoś nas o nie pyta, odpowiadamy że
leży dokładnie w połowie drogi między Berlinem a Warszawą. Do tej pory nie
zrobiliśmy nic wspólnie, więc nazbierało się sporo niewykorzystanej
energii. Ponieważ nade wszystko cenimy sobie niezależność,
wymyśliliśmy wydarzenie, które podkreślając sąsiedzkie relacje,
jednocześnie da nam okazję uwidocznić programowe i artystyczne
różnice. Otworzymy wspólnie dwi
e odrębne wystawy z udziałem wszystkich
artystów, których dana galeria reprezentuje. Obie wystawy będą trwały
dwa dni. Równolegle odbędzie się także program wideo i performance z
udziałem gości z "zewnątrz". Weeked galeryjny jest jednak kulminacją zjawiska szerszego niż byt
dwóch pokrewnych galerii. Od wielu lat trwa na dobre ofensywa sztuki z
Poznania na kraj, jesteśmy częścią tego zjawiska, dajemy mu pole
działania i czerpiemy z niego. Teraz chcemy zrobić małe święto w
środku zimy, wtedy gdy, jak mawiają nudziarze, "nic się nie dzieje".

Poznań is a peculiar city. When somebody asks about it, we do respond that it is situated midway between Berlin and Warsaw. But who gets off midway? Pies and Stereo galleries have neighboured for almost 3 years. Till now we have never done anything together, so a lot of unused energy has been produced. We came up with an event which will emphasize a neighbours’ relationship, giving us at the same time an opportunity to demonstrate our programme and artistic differences. We will open together two separate exhibitions involving all the artists represented by each gallery. They will last two days both. Simultaneously there will be also a video and performance programme with “outside” guests. However the gallery weekend is a culmination of a larger phenomenon than an existence of two related galleries. For many years there has been an important offensive of art from Poznań over the whole country, we are a part of this phenomenon, we give a field of activity to it and we derive from it.
