A delegation of the 56th Pakistan Navy Staff Course, comprising Pakistan Navy officers, faculty members, families, and officers from friendly countries, visited Lahore Museum as part of their academic and cultural programme.

The delegation was received by Mr. Taseer Ahmad, Director, Lahore Museum, along with museum officials. The visiting officers and guests were given a guided tour of the museum, where they were briefed on its rich and diverse collection spanning prehistoric, Gandhara, Islamic, Sikh, Hindu-Buddhist, and other significant periods of the region’s history and cultural heritage.

The visit provided an opportunity for the participants to explore Pakistan’s archaeological and cultural legacy and gain a deeper understanding of the historical significance of Lahore Museum as one of the country’s premier cultural institutions.

H.E. the Consul General shared his reflections on the initiative and appreciated the efforts towards documenting, preserving and promoting Pakistan’s rich artistic heritage through digital means.

Unveiling of Pakistan Art Chronicles

Lahore Museum hosted the unveiling of Pakistan Art Chronicles, a digital initiative of the National Artists Association of Pakistan (NAAP), dedicated to documenting and preserving Pakistan’s rich artistic heritage.

The event brought together distinguished artists, academics, art historians and cultural practitioners to mark the launch of this significant digital initiative. The programme featured an overview of the Pakistan Art Chronicles database, followed by addresses from distinguished speakers, the Chief Guest Iftikhar Ahmad, Guest of Honour Kamil Khan Mumtaz, and Director Lahore Museum Taseer Ahmad.

The initiative marks an important step towards creating greater digital access to Pakistan’s artistic legacy and celebrating the artists and creative traditions that have shaped the country’s cultural landscape.
