Zione Art Gallery is an independent commercial art gallery founded by local Upper Hutt contemporary artist ZiOnE (Yahu).

A platform for expressive, street-art-influenced works, showcasing a distinct mixture of paintings, skateboards, custom clothing, and independent art books.

Some works for sale at Garage16 (G16 Studios), located at 6 Railway Avenue, Maidstone, Upper Hutt (directly across from the Ōrongomai Marae).

While the main gallery space frequently transitions between intense public exhibitions—such as the recent Art and Anarchy showcase—and curated exhibition breaks, Visitors can browse selected physical works or arrange a viewing by coordinating directly emailing the artist at [email protected].

ZiOnE's work focuses heavily on "Spray paint Minimalism," powerful typography, and the raw translation of mental health journeys and emotional responses into vibrant, chaotic color palettes.

His modern activism and visual style heavily draw inspiration from iconic 1980s New York painters and contemporary disruptors,
including: Street Art & Neo-Expressionism: Jean-Michel Basquiat (SAMO), Richard Hambleton, Keith Haring, and Banksy.Action & Figurative Painters: Jackson Po***ck, Francis Bacon, and Andy Warhol.New Zealand Masters: Colin McCahon and Tony Fomison.

(Available Publications & MerchandisingOutside of purchasing primary canvas art, the artist regularly self-publishes comprehensive text and visual art books capturing his thematic collections.
