Ze zijn alle acht klaar. De nieuwe werkjes van de Lotus serie. Gemaakt in Herfst kleuren voor de liefhebbers van natuurlijke tinten. Deze werkjes gaan mee naar de het eerste weekend van oktober. Zet het alvast in je agenda.

All eight are finished—the new pieces from the Lotus series. Created in autumn colors for lovers of natural tones. These pieces will be heading to during the first weekend of October. Be sure to mark it in your calendar.

En weer een klein werkje klaar voor de Lotus serie. Een simpele bloem vorm met een messing hartje. De combinatie van het gekleurde vlastouw en de vorm geeft een retro gevoel. Leuk en nostalgisch.

And another small piece finished for the Lotus series. A simple flower shape with a brass center. The combination of the colored flax cord and the shape creates a retro feel. Fun and nostalgic.

Ondanks de hoge temperaturen ben ik toch alvast begonnen aan een aantal kleine werkjes in de Lotus serie met wat meer herfst achtige kleuren. Deze werkjes ga ik laten zien tijdens Kunststroom in het eerste weekend van oktober. Hier alvast de eerste resultaten.

Despite the high temperatures, I have already started working on a few small pieces in the Lotus series featuring more autumnal colors. I will be showcasing these works during Kunststroom on the first weekend of October. Here is a first look at the results.

Echt de moeite waard om te bezoeken. Het EICAS museum in Deventer. Museum EICAS maakt kunst vanaf de jaren 60 toegankelijk. Als vertrekpunt gebruiken ze het gedachtegoed van de NUL-beweging. Op dit moment is er een tentoonstelling te zien met werk van Jan Hendrikse. Een aanrader voor liefhebbers van Schoonhoven. En verder is Deventer natuurlijk een super mooie stad om te bezoeken.

The EICAS museum in Deventer is well worth a visit. Museum EICAS makes art from the 1960s onwards accessible to the public, taking the philosophy of the NUL movement as its starting point. An exhibition featuring work by Jan Hendrikse is currently on display—highly recommended for fans of Schoonhoven. And, of course, Deventer itself is a wonderful city to visit.

8 nieuwe werkjes in de Lotus serie zijn klaar. Zo bij elkaar geven ze een echt tropisch gevoel. Nadat ik gisteren de olijf houten ondergrond nog even in geolied had, zijn ze klaar om vanmiddag naar SHE Art Gallery in Nuenen gebracht te worden. Al deze werkjes zijn ook met de werkjes uit de vorige serie te combineren. Kom je een kijkje nemen?

Eight new pieces in the Lotus series are finished. Grouped together, they create a truly tropical feel. After applying a fresh coat of oil to the olive wood bases yesterday, they are ready to be taken to SHE Art Gallery in Nuenen this afternoon. All these pieces can also be combined with those from the previous series. Why not come and take a look?

De nieuwe werkjes voor de Lotus serie zijn bijna klaar. De laatste dagen werk ik heerlijk buiten in mijn tuin. Het is lekker zomers weer dus zonde om binnen te zitten. Ondertussen ben ik al aan het nadenken over een volgende serie en over andere projecten. Ik hou jullie op de hoogte.

The new pieces for the Lotus series are almost finished. For the past few days, I’ve been enjoying working outside in my garden. The summer weather is lovely, so it would be a shame to sit indoors. In the meantime, I’m already thinking about the next series and other projects. I’ll keep you posted.

Vanmorgen heb ik een bezoek gebracht aan Hoeve Moorsel in Vlodrop. Deze prachtige boerderij uit 1800 is het decor voor mijn werk tijdens de Kunststroom op 3 en 4 oktober. Ik exposeer hier dan met 4 andere kunstenaars. Het uitzicht is prachtig en de ruimte waar mijn werk mag hangen is een oude berging vol met relikwieën. In deze ruimte gaat een houten blok gebouwd worden waar mijn werk op tentoongesteld wordt. Ben jij net zo benieuwd als ik? Kom dan een kijkje nemen in oktober.

This morning, I visited Hoeve Moorsel in Vlodrop. This beautiful 19th-century farmhouse will serve as the setting for my work during the *Kunststroom* event on October 3rd and 4th. I will be exhibiting there alongside four other artists. The view is stunning, and the space where my work will be displayed is an old storage room filled with relics. A wooden structure is being built in this room to serve as the display platform for my art. Are you as curious as I am? Come and take a look in October.
