Meet our final artist, who transforms raw emotion into art, shaping his medium by instinct to reveal beauty within the darkness.

The work of Berend is driven by impulse and emotion, often reflecting the chaos and thoughts that occupy his mind. He begins with raw forms, allowing them to evolve naturally into a final piece. Music plays a crucial role in his process—he listens to sounds that mirror his emotions at that moment, and this resonance is visible in the outcome.

All the paintings and illustrations that Sjoerd creates under his alias belong to a world shaped by his youth, love, trauma, and imagination. Within this realm, complex characters, crying demons, porcelain jesters, mossy forests, and foggy meadows become symbols of life and personal experience. His art exists in extremes: either bright and harmonious or dark and melancholic.

We’re proud to present at The First Bloom Exposition, an artist who transforms her memories into resilient, tangible art.

At first glance, her creations appear colorful and inviting, wrapped in what she calls the memory guard: a protective layer over the memories she explores. Using textiles, ceramics, wood, and self-archived materials, she raises critical questions about childhood, cultural heritage, and identity. Her work transforms stories into tactile experiences, from silkscreen-printed fabric sculptures to intricate, glaze-layered ceramics.

Stepping into the First Bloom exposition is Yulin Yao, an artist who turns inner demons into immersive, tangible VR experiences.

Yulin’s work is a confrontation and an invitation to step into a world shaped by nightmares, fleeting anxieties, and deeply personal memories. Fear here is not abstract; it is tangible, weighted, inescapable. Each piece pulls from raw, unfiltered emotion, recreating the unease of confrontation and the intensity of facing what lurks beneath the surface.
