I looked for it, I heard it’s hard to find it though. At times I feel like I’m looking for it in the wrong faces. It should be in certain places yet it’s portrayed in unexpected faces. Some
think they have it, some are aware that they don’t, and some desire to obtain it. Once you
have it, you don’t know you have it. When you have it you appreciate a compliment for
what it is without thinking of it too much, and you don’t put others in their place but you
put yourself in their place. Having it doesn’t mean pretty woman seeing themselves ugly,
or clever men fools. But, it actually brings you to a state of mind in which you could
appreciate a masterpiece you have created, take pleasure in that as much as you would if it would’ve been done by another, rejoicing gratefully in your abilities and gifting as in your neighbor’s talents.
It fascinates me... the mystery about it that is. It comes unobserved and leaves the moment
you noticed it. It’s subtle, pure, modest, altogether lovely, very gentle, patient, and radiant, blossoms unobserved. It’s the rarest thing I’ve seen. Most ardent thing I desire. Yearning to see it in the people I love, admire or appreciate. What’s astounding to me about it, is that it has the power to bring you the greatest honor, and makes space for you in unexpected places. Humility, to me you are the virtue of all virtues, the one I long to embrace, the one I long to possess. You cannot be bought with treasures, you cannot be traded for riches. The one who can obtains you is the wealthiest of all without knowing.
The One who owns you knows you.. He is the possessor of all gifts and He shared them without repentance.. what confidence, what love, and what humility... to
restrain Himself so we can partake and partner. To have all heaven yet leave it behind to step in humility to serve when He should be served. Humility the image I long to bear, the image of my Creator.
