Sergio Gutiérrez BenÃtez was a Mexican Catholic priest known for an extraordinary life that combined faith and professional wrestling.
As a young man, he grew up in poverty and experienced crime and homelessness before turning to religion and being ordained.
As a priest, he ran an orphanage for abandoned children, but when funds ran out, he secretly became a lucha libre wrestler, wearing a mask to hide his THAT BENEATH THE MASK identity.
The money he earned in the ring was used to feed and care for the children.
His remarkable double life later inspired the 2006 film Nacho Libre, bringing his story to a global audience.
