“Trampled” presents a mix of crushed floral forms and layered strokes, using colour and texture to create a sense of disruption. The composition relies on overlapping shapes, contrasting hues, and dense brushwork to build a surface that feels chaotic yet structured. Technically, the piece leans on expressive mark making rather than detailed realism, giving it a straightforward abstract presence.

According to the artist bio, Dato’ Dr. Hashim Yaacob began painting at the age of 60, developing his practice alongside a long academic career. He previously served as Vice Chancellor of multiple universities in Kuala Lumpur and held roles such as Professor of Oral Medicine, Dean of Dentistry, and Deputy Vice Chancellor at the University of Malaya. His background also includes interests in poetry and wayang kulit, with his first solo exhibition launched in 2010.

This artwork may appeal to viewers who enjoy expressive, colourful compositions and pieces that bring movement into a space. Its straightforward abstract style makes it suitable for casual collectors or anyone looking for a decorative work with bold colours. The painting stands on its own without requiring deeper narrative or extensive provenance.

This artwork bursts with chaotic energy — stick figure characters, tangled lines, and vivid colours colliding in a spontaneous visual narrative. Mu’az uses acrylic and marker to create overlapping storylines, each figure interacting within a dense emotional landscape. The composition feels like an animated mind map, revealing how he processes imagination, connection, and emotion through raw, unfiltered expression.

At just 14, Mu’az Zakuan is a neurodivergent artist whose work is driven by intuition and emotional honesty. Diagnosed with autism at two and a half, he paints what words cannot express — moments of anxiety, joy, overwhelm, and imagination. His works have been exhibited in Tokyo, New Zealand, Indonesia, Penang, and Kuala Lumpur, and featured in collaborative calendars with NARC UiTM and HLB Bank Malaysia. He is quickly becoming a significant young voice in neurodivergent art spaces.

This piece is a vibrant, conversation starting artwork — perfect for collectors who value sincerity, storytelling, and neurodivergent brilliance. It brings personality and movement into any room, making it ideal for modern homes, creative offices, or spaces that celebrate individuality. Owning this work means owning a piece of a rising young artist’s journey — one whose voice will only grow stronger.

“Birth of Fire” erupts with fiery reds, yellows, and molten textures, showcasing Ahmed Ghazie Ibrahim’s mastery of expressive abstraction. The layered acrylic strokes create a sense of ignition — colour exploding outward like heat breaking through the canvas. His interplay of warm tones and contrasting cool accents adds rhythm and tension, making the piece feel alive, volatile, and emotionally charged.

Ahmed Ghazie Ibrahim is a distinguished former art educator whose works have been showcased at Balai Seni Visual Negara, British Council, Goethe Institut, G13 Gallery, University of Malaya Art Gallery, Museum of Asian Art, and more. His pieces are held in major institutional collections, and he is frequently invited as a judge for art competitions and contributor to exhibition catalogues. His practice blends exploration, expression, and decades of technical refinement, making his works highly respected in Malaysia’s art landscape.

“Birth of Fire” is a defining early phase work — bold, intense, and unmistakably collectible. For buyers seeking a statement piece with institutional pedigree, this painting anchors a room with heat, movement, and artistic authority. It’s the kind of artwork that signals confidence and taste, perfect for collectors who want a centrepiece with legacy value.

Infinite Expressions is now live at Mentari Art Gallery — a showcase that brings four powerful artistic voices into one space, each offering a different way of seeing, feeling, and interpreting the world. From expressive abstraction and textured mixed media to reflective compositions and spontaneous neurodivergent storytelling, this exhibition is a journey through colour, memory, intuition, and imagination. Every artwork carries its own emotional terrain, its own rhythm, its own truth — making this one of our most diverse and meaningful showcases to date.

If you’ve ever wanted to experience art that speaks, moves, and stays with you, this is the moment. Infinite Expressions runs from 25 July to 30 September, Wednesday to Sunday, 12pm to 6pm at Studio Residency, Wing 2, DoubleTree by Hilton Putrajaya Lakeside. “Belacak” uses textured mixed media to build a dense mangrove environment where intertwined roots, layered greens, and narrow waterways create depth and movement. Azwa’s use of plaster, adhesives, and acrylics forms a tactile surface that mimics the organic roughness of nature, while her intuitive strokes guide the eye toward the bright opening at the end of the waterway. The composition balances between structure and spontaneity, making the mangrove feel alive, breathing, and quietly powerful.

Azwa Rahwi’s practice is rooted in intuition, emotion, and the beauty of imperfection — a signature shaped by herself driven journey since reconnecting with art during the 2020 Movement Control Order. Her works often explore memory, healing, and unseen emotional landscapes, evolving organically through movement and layered textures. With exhibitions spanning Art for Kindness, ESG Exhibition, Gajah & Bunga, Zero Waste Art Exhibition, and Beautiful Malaysia Art Exhibition, she has quickly established herself as a rising voice in Malaysia’s contemporary abstract scene.

“Belacak” is a collector’s piece for anyone seeking emotional depth and natural serenity — a work that instantly elevates a space with texture, character, and meaning. Its intimate size and strong visual presence make it ideal for homes, offices, or hospitality spaces wanting a centrepiece that feels both calming and profound. This is the kind of artwork that grows with you, revealing new layers every time you look at it.

Infinite Expressions: Four Artists, Four Perspectives, One Exhibition That Redefines How We See

Infinite Expressions is a contemporary showcase that invites visitors into a world where colour, texture, memory, intuition, and imagination collide. This exhibition offers a journey across expressive abstraction, layered mixed media, reflective compositions, and spontaneous neurodivergent storytelling — a space where art becomes language and every canvas asks viewers to pause, feel, and discover meaning beyond the surface. Expect an experience that moves between quiet introspection and bold emotional movement, shaped by artists whose practices span generations and lived realities.

The exhibition features four distinctive voices. Former art educator Ahmed Ghazie Ibrahim brings decades of exploration through expressive landscapes and abstract forms exhibited at major national and international institutions. Dato’ Dr. Hashim Yaacob, a respected academic and cultural figure, offers works shaped by wisdom, heritage, and late‑life creativity. Azwa Rahwi, a Kuala Lumpur‑based mixed‑media artist, presents textured emotional abstractions rooted in intuition, healing, and the beauty of imperfection. Completing the quartet is Muhammad Mu’az Zakuan, a 14‑year‑old neurodivergent artist whose spontaneous, intuitive compositions reveal an unfiltered inner world shaped by imagination and sincerity.

For collectors, Infinite Expressions presents a rare opportunity to acquire works that carry presence, depth, and individuality — from established mastery to emerging neurodivergent brilliance. Each artwork brings its own visual impact, whether through movement, texture, or emotional resonance, making this exhibition ideal for buyers seeking pieces that elevate spaces with authenticity and character. With part of the proceeds supporting DoubleTree by Hilton Putrajaya Lakeside’s charity initiative, every acquisition becomes both a meaningful addition to a collection and a contribution to the community.

Visit Us: Infinite Expressions runs from 25 July to 30 September, Wednesday to Sunday, 12pm to 6pm, at Studio Residency, Wing 2 (Ground Floor), DoubleTree by Hilton Putrajaya Lakeside. Step inside, explore the colours, meet the stories, and experience art without boundaries.
