Galeri Arkeologi USM Discover about the archaeological heritage of Malaysia and learn about the exciting life of human past ! This gallery has seven main sections.

Located on a hilly part of USM, this gallery used to be a residence built in 1938. Archeological research conducted by USM Center for Global Archeological Research (CGAR) in many parts of Malaysia since 1987 are exhibited here. Section A exhibit research discovery that have significant impact and contribution to the world archaeology. Section B presents the overall Malaysian prehistory in terms of

distribution of archaeological sites and the culture sequence in Malaysia. Discoveries of sites and artifacts from the Paleolithic Period are exhibited in Section C while those from the Neolithic and Metal periods are shown in Section D and E respectively. Section F displays the research findings from the early civilization complex of Sungai Batu, Bujang Valley, Kedah. Research about ‘Orang Asli’ from the aspect of Ethno-archaeological are exhibited at this section. Section G is an interactive corner for the visitors to participate in some activities prepared by the gallery.
