Me encanta ir a ver exposiciones de pintura.

Profundo México, en , reúne a Daniel Lezama () y Gilberto Aceves Navarro () en conversación pictórica.

Hay desnudos, paisajes, escenas alegóricas y gestos casi abstractos. Hay pintura lenta y pintura urgente. Y, aun así, el encuentro fluye con una naturalidad sorprendente.

Diego Rivera became one of the most famous artists of the 20th century. Most of his classmates did not.

This photograph, taken at the Escuela Nacional de Bellas Artes around 1900, captures a generation of young artists studying under Antonio Fabrés, the Catalan painter whose rigorous teaching transformed artistic education in Mexico. Among them was Alberto Garduño.

Today, Garduño is largely absent from art history surveys, yet his work reveals a remarkable sensitivity to atmosphere, architecture, and place. His watercolors, painted during travels through Italy, Spain, the Middle East, and Mexico, balance technical precision with an almost effortless sense of light.

Peter Clossick’s () brushwork is unapologetically physical. Paint accumulates, resists polish. Figures emerge through sustained looking and the visible labor of making. This material truth, the thickness of paint, the tension of line, the persistence of observation, places him firmly within the English tradition of figurative intensity.

In a culture of instant circulation, Clossick’s paintings ask for time. They remind us that identity is fragile, but also resilient. That representation can still be an act of sincerity. That to insist on the human body, fully observed, is quietly radical.

Hay algo profundamente sugerente en esa fricción entre lo pictórico y lo visceral, como si la pintura no describiera el cuerpo, sino que lo reconstruyera desde adentro.

Mañana es FORMA.

Una subasta de arte contemporáneo por la educación, hecha con muchísima generosidad de los artistas, con y con la convicción de que el arte también puede (y debe) ponerse en acción.

Ojalá mañana veamos muchas paletas levantadas: cada puja es una manera concreta de apoyar una beca universitaria completa y de cerrar el círculo entre arte, comunidad y educación.

Si nunca has participado en una subasta, este es un gran momento para empezar.

Hay obras de distintos precios, formatos y lenguajes. No necesitas experiencia previa: solo curiosidad y ganas de sumarte.
