A New Beginning, on an Old Wall
Five years ago, I painted these images as a playful response to Suprematism.
At that time, I was reading Malevich and wondering how pure abstraction could carry meaning.
I painted, then I forgot. Life moved on.
Now, in a new place and a new time, I return to them—not to correct or refine, but to let them breathe again.
I didn’t try to make them better. They simply became quieter—just like I did.
Hanging them on a century-old stone wall in Malta, I felt a sudden clarity:
time is not a line, it is a spiral. What I left behind is still with me.
And this is how I begin again.
