Born in 1973, Marco Savio is an architect, teacher, and artist. Through POP-style mixed media using natural wood bark and lettering, he explores modern contrasts—like nature versus technology—inviting viewers to look beyond text for deeper symbolic meaning.

Two robotic hands offer a glittering gold bar, they are the hands of temptation and material wealth (KIN in Japanese). This contrasts with KIKU, that is, "listening with fourteen hearts" represented by the pawns that populate the chessboard of life.

Milena Molas is a Paraguayan artist and researcher inspired by nature, light, and spirituality. Blending ancient techniques, modern art, and interior design, her works seek to heal, elevate consciousness, and connect humanity with nature.

A hand holds the light of hope, from which emerge three paper boats united by a common destiny. The work invites us to believe that peace can flourish when peoples meet beneath a shared light of love and humanity.

Hello, this is Haegeumgang Theme Museum. We are pleased to introduce the 357th artist of the 12th Geoje International Art Festival "Culture and Arts", Nesha Akter.

Self-defined as a dreamer, she transformed childhood financial struggles into motivation, self-funding her education through private tutoring. Her fierce determination earned her 1st place in Jahangirnagar University's Fine Arts admission test, driving her unstoppable passion for learning.

This artwork reimagines traditional Nakshi Kantha through contemporary
brushwork. It visualizes delicate folk motifs created by rural women during their quiet leisure. Through these patterns, the piece celebrates a timeless Bangladeshi cultural heritage.

The theme of this year's exhibition is “Culture and Arts.” Culture is the vessel that holds life across eras, and art is the creative spark that illuminates that culture most brilliantly. The artist weaves cultural inspirations accumulated through history and life into her work with a unique perspective. Through this, visitors will experience the profound value of art that connects time and space, fostering deep cultural resonance.

Under the theme “Culture and Arts,” the 12th Geoje International Art Festival will be a place where artists from around the world gather to contemplate and share the social and cultural values of art. It serves as a platform for international artistic exchange and a precious opportunity to communicate with the public through high-quality art.

스스로를 꿈꾸는 사람이라 정의하는 그녀는 어린 시절의 경제적 어려움을 동기부여로 바꾸며, 개인 과외를 통해 스스로 학비를 마련했습니다. 그녀의 강한 단대함은 자항기르나가르 대학교(Jahangirnagar University) 미술학과 입학시험 1위라는 결실을 맺었으며, 배움을 향한 끊임없는 열정의 원동력이 되고 있습니다.

이 작품은 현대적인 붓 터치로 전통 낭시 칸타(Nakshi Kantha)를 새롭게 재해석합니다. 시골 여성들이 조용한 여가 시간에 만들어 낸 섬세한 민속 문양을 시각화하였으며, 이러한 패턴을 통해 방글라데시의 시대를 초월한 문화유산을 찬미합니다.

Shamsul Alam is a Bangladeshi visual artist who holds a Master of Fine Arts from the University of Dhaka. With a career spanning two solo exhibitions and numerous national and international shows, his acrylic and watercolor paintings capture Bangladeshi landscapes and working-class life, highlighting human dignity, resilience, and social realities.

“The Weight of Survival” portrays the daily struggle and resilience of ordinary working people. The artwork reflects the burden they carry and their determination to continue despite hardship. It is a tribute to human strength, dignity, and perseverance.

I am passionate about visual arts. The themes approached in my works, created through mixed media techniques, focus on the human condition within the current social context, the artistic
approach being transdisciplinary. Concerned with nature in its various forms, I explore both figurative and abstract representation.

“Walls of Memory” explores the human condition hidden behind the beauty of the human face, reflecting personal and collective memory within the contemporary social context through symbolic mixed media expression.
