This is why I was concerned about a lot of the art and stories birthed in the 60’s. Many of those involved are no longer around to tell the legends or the stories. The art has been reduced to quality checks and price points— which turns off people who know nothing about the subject. It isn’t enough to say “i was there so it mattered” the focus needs to be brought back the art and the content.

This is MacBird, a play by a female playwright Barbara Garrison. Politically radical from the ground up. Printed by an openly socialist press. Credits ungiven to the artist. What was the play exactly? It documented the assignation of President Kennedy through Shakespearean drama mixed with absurdity.

We are losing the art of irreverence. Part of it is because it has no money value (these were printed by communists———) and partly because people stopped talking about it. I wanna have a conversation— and possibly reproduce some of the better parts of the play when I get my hands on it again. My copy is somewhere in the USA.

Right now at the Busan Museum of Contemporary Art, you can see the work of Hilna af Klimt. This Swedish abstract painter forced her family to keep her work a secret until after her death. Using meditation, Klimt was able to access the ethereal realm and transfer that inspiration into her paintings.
