시리즈는 빛의 조각들을 쌓아 올린 탑의 형식을 통해 감정과 시간을 서정적으로 드러낸다. 층층이 축적된 빛은 내면의 사유를 반영하며, 그의 조각은 각자의 기억 속에서 다시 쓰이는 감각의 자리이자 조용한 위로로 남는다. 보이지 않는 마음의 움직임을 환기하는 이 조각들은 긍정과 평안의 가능성을 조용히 비춘다.
Yoon Saerom explores the intersection of material and sensibility, unfolding layers of emotion and memory through light and color. His sculptures extend beyond objects, expanding into scenes and spaces of perception.
The series lyrically reveals emotion and time through tower-like forms composed of stacked luminous fragments. These accumulated layers of light reflect inner contemplation, and his sculptures remain as sites of perception rewritten within each viewer’s memory, offering a quiet sense of solace. Evoking invisible movements of the mind, these works gently illuminate the possibility of affirmation and peace.

윤새롬의 조각은 빛과 색을 통해 감정과 시간을 담아내는 데서 출발한다. 그는 아크릴을 정제해 만든 ‘크리스탈’이라는 물질에 빛을 머금게 하며, 그 안에 관계의 흔적과 내면의 감각을 스며들게 한다. 이러한 조각들은 오브제를 넘어 가구와 공간으로 확장되며, 감각과 기억에 작용하는 하나의 장면이자 ‘어느 날’의 기록으로 축적된다.
Yoon Saerom’s work begins with an exploration of how light and color can hold emotion and time. By refining acrylic into what he terms ‘crystal’ he allows light to permeate it, embedding traces of relationships and inner sensibilities within. These works extend beyond objects into furniture and spatial configurations, accumulating as scenes that engage perception and memory fragments of a day.

𝘈𝘳𝘵𝘪𝘴𝘵 : 윤새롬 Yoon Saerom

윤새롬은 자신의 조각이 간직할 수 있는 ‘정’을 탐구해왔다. 그는 조각에 빛을 머금게 하며 함께 했던 이들과의 시간과 감정을 고요하게 꺼내어 놓는다. 이러한 감정들은 그의 작업 속에서 색과 빛의 결로 스며들고,그렇게 쌓여온 장면들은 어느 날의 기록이자 하나의 일기가 된다.

이번 전시에서 처음 선보이는 〈어느 날의 조각: 월 피스〉 시리즈는 이러한 흐름을 액자라는 형식 안에 담아낸다. 액자는 소중한 순간과 지나간 시간을 붙잡아두는 틀이자 기억을 환기하는 장치로 기능하며, 그 안에 놓인 빛의 조각들은 색으로 남은 기억과 감정의 온도를 머금는다. 각각의 조각은 관람자의 감각 속으로 스며들며, 그의 작업은 특정한 이야기를 제시하기보다 각자의 기억 속에서 다시 쓰이는 여백으로 남는다.

Yoon Saerom has explored the notion of jeong—an affective bond—embedded within his sculptures. By allowing light to permeate his works, he gently brings forth the time and emotions shared with others. These feelings seep into his practice as layers of color and light, accumulating into scenes that become records of a day, or fragments of a diary.

The series , presented for the first time in this exhibition, encapsulates this flow within the format of the frame. The frame functions both as a structure that holds precious moments and passing time, and as a device that evokes memory. Within it, the luminous fragments carry traces of memories preserved in color and the warmth of emotion. Each piece gradually permeates the viewer’s perception, and rather than presenting a fixed narrative, his work remains as an open space—one that is rewritten within each individual’s memory.
