このたび msb gallery では、PAPER BRUTの個展「I am here」を開催いたします。
PAPER BRUTは新潟を拠点に身の回りの植物や樹皮から紙や造形物を作りだし、その作品の幅は広く、原料となる植物の栽培からデザインまでを手掛けています。
PAPER “BRUT”はフランス語で 「生（き）のままの」紙を意味し、伝統的な技法からのオマージュ、植物の特性を生かした造形を生み出しています。
本展では、近年新たな試みとして取り組んでいる、植物から色を抽出した顔料を用いて描いた作品群を展示いたします。
彼らの作品を通して、確かに存在している身近ないきもののチカラを感じて対話をお楽しみいただければ嬉しく思います。

msb gallery is pleased to present “I am here”, a solo exhibition by PAPER BRUT.
Based in Niigata, they create paper and objects from plants and bark found surrounding them.
They make a wide range of works, and handle all processes from cultivating raw materials to
designing.
PAPER “BRUT”, which means "raw” paper in French, creates forms that take advantage of the
characteristics of natural plants in homage to traditional techniques.
This exhibition showcases a group of works created using pigments extracted from plants, a new approach they have been exploring in recent years.
We hope you will feel the power of familiar living creatures that truly exist around us and enjoy a dialogue with them through their works.
