特別展「旅心」では、一部展示替えを行いました。

旅のユーモアを描いた『東海道中膝栗毛』、
伊能忠敬による実測原図、
バーナード・リーチの作品、
そして吉田初三郎による鳥瞰図など――

時代ごとに異なる“旅のまなざし”を、
新たな展示資料とともにご覧いただけます。

同じ展示でも、資料が変わることで見えてくる景色や物語もまた異なります。

すでにご来館いただいた方も、
ぜひもう一度、“旅”の世界をお楽しみください。

The special exhibition “Journeying Hearts” has undergone a partial exhibit rotation starting May 20.

Newly featured materials include:
Hizakurige on the Tōkaidō, a humorous depiction of travel along the historic route,
Inō Tadataka’s original surveyed maps,
works by Bernard Leach,
and Yoshida Hatsusaburō’s panoramic bird’s-eye-view illustrations.

Through these newly displayed works, visitors can explore the many different perspectives on travel across time and history.

Even within the same exhibition, changing the displayed materials reveals new landscapes, stories, and ways of seeing the world.

If you have already visited the exhibition, we warmly invite you to return and experience the world of travel once again.

【第15期市民学芸員養成講座｜受講者募集中！】

松本のすばらしさを再発見し、
その魅力を多くの人に伝えていく
「市民学芸員」を目指す講座です。

今年度のテーマは、
「豊具の魅力学ぼう with バケツ稲づくり」

古くから人々の暮らしを支えてきた“農具”。
そこには、先人たちの知恵や工夫、
そして地域の営みが詰まっています。

本講座では、
バケツ稲づくりを体験しながら、
農具や米づくりについて学び、
松本の歴史や文化の魅力を深く知ることができます。

講義だけでなく、
田植え・稲の手入れ・収穫・脱穀体験など、
実際に手を動かしながら学べる内容も。

受講修了者には修了証をお渡しします。

松本の魅力を“伝える人”として、
地域の文化や歴史にふれてみませんか？

【令和8年度特別展「旅心」展示資料紹介｜歌川広重「東海道五拾三次」】

◆ 東海道五拾三次全55点

江戸の旅人たちが見た風景を、
色鮮やかな浮世絵錦絵でたどる――

本展では、
歌川広重「東海道五拾三次」全55点を展示しています。

日本橋から京都・三条大橋まで。
東海道を行き交う人々の姿や、
宿場町のにぎわい、
四季折々の風景や旅先の空気感まで、
一枚一枚に江戸時代の“旅の情景”が繊細に描かれています。

遠くへ行くことが容易ではなかった時代、
人々は浮世絵を通して、
まだ見ぬ土地へ思いを馳せていました。

時代を越えてなお人々を惹きつける、
広重が描いた東海道の旅路。

ぜひ会場で、
江戸の旅の世界をゆっくりとご体感ください。

【2026 Special Exhibition “Journeying Hearts” | Featured Works: Utagawa Hiroshige’s “The Fifty-three Stations of the Tōkaidō”】

◆ All 55 Prints from The Fifty-three Stations of the Tōkaidō

Trace the landscapes once seen by travelers of the Edo period through vividly colored ukiyo-e woodblock prints.

This exhibition presents all 55 prints from Utagawa Hiroshige’s celebrated series The Fifty-three Stations of the Tōkaidō.

From Nihonbashi in Edo to Sanjō Ōhashi Bridge in Kyoto, each work delicately captures scenes along the Tōkaidō route — travelers on the road, bustling post towns, seasonal landscapes, and the atmosphere of distant destinations.

In an era when long-distance travel was not easily accessible, people imagined faraway places through these ukiyo-e prints.

Even today, Hiroshige’s beautifully rendered journey along the Tōkaidō continues to captivate viewers across generations.

We invite you to experience the world of Edo-period travel at the museum.

テレビ番組「兼高かおる世界の旅」の紹介とともに、
兼高かおるの旅を支えた取材メモや旅道具を展示。

◆ Materials Related to Kaoru Kanetaka

Alongside an introduction to the television program Kanetaka Kaoru Sekai no Tabi (“Kaoru Kanetaka’s Journey Around the World”),
this section presents the field notes and travel tools that supported her journeys.

Traveling across the globe, she shared the lives and cultures of people from many regions.
Her approach—carefully observing, listening, and capturing what she experienced on site—
invites us to reflect anew on the essence of what it means to travel.

Experience another kind of journey, traced through records and words, at the exhibition.
